Behind the scenes of a photoshoot...
Ever wondered what it takes to create a stunning photo like this?
The secret is of course a whole team of fantastic wedding suppliers and a LOT of hard work!
Here a few photos from a recent collaboration in the beautiful county of Sussex, at a gorgeous private home.
It always starts with a vision – Mandy Young from Ritz and Sass created a mood board detailing the look she wanted to create. From this, the hair and makeup team could see clearly the style that she had imagined. Outer worldly images, high glamour, alternative and very creative.
Mandy handmade the top of the dress by crocheting thin silver wire thread. Also an ear cuff and necklaces from scratch. Incredibly intricate delicate work.
After seeing the silver-grey dress net skirt that Mandy was making, I decided that a winter bouquet would suit the theme and match the overall ethereal look.
I started by using fresh trailing asparagus fern and spray painting it white to give it a ghostly feel. Adding pure white gypsophila and grey brunnia for its berries, to add texture to the design. Finishing with a collar of silvered bear grass, the bouquet was complete.
A second bouquet was made to photograph on the grand staircase of Broadhill Place, a beautiful private house in West Sussex.
Created by forming gold wire rings and adding fresh bloom chrysanthemums, ranunculas and pale green hydrangea.

Paloma took some great shots on the staircase which I had decorated to match the wedding bouquet. Red and green hydrangea teamed with more asparagus fern and fresh pussy willow.

Here is our dream team for these images.
