A Tropical vibe for your wedding without even leaving the UK!

Imagine that magical tropical feeling for your wedding. Bold colours, gorgeous cocktails, and bright patterns are great elements for this fun informal sunny vibe without breaking the bank. Unless you want to of course:)

You can create a destination wedding without leaving these shores and let's face it currently you can't leave :)

Here are 9 great ideas to create a tropical feel for your wedding without a massive budget and not using a huge carbon footprint.

  1. Adding simple exotic fruits to your florals adds an instant different texture.

  2. Use fresh fruits as favours - a carton of fresh cherries for example wrapped in a tropical print napkin. Fruit laden cakes, great luscious platters of fabulous fruit - healthy and visually beautiful too.

3. Use Monstera leaves. This giant leaves (commonly known as Cheese plant leaves because of the holes) will add a touch of the exotic to whatever you add it to.

Wedding bouquets, easy and striking place settings, or large dramatic floral arches.

4. Get married on a beach or near a pool. Create an amazing backdrop.

A wedding celebrant can perform a marriage ceremony anywhere (within reason!).

After the legal bit has been completed at your local Register office, choose a local beach or a beautiful pool.

Decorate the pool with floating large leaves and flowers.

5. Cocktails!

Dreaming of a St Lucian wedding but can't get there at the moment - used well, a strong and bold colour palette of hot sunny colours will bring the Caribbean to you instead and a smile to your guest's faces.

Warm colours such as deep yellow, hot pinks, burnt oranges are perfect for a happy carefree wedding.

8. Favours!

When you think of a desert island, what comes to mind? ... palm trees, pineapples, sand, shells - create your own shell candles to give away or how about a special message in a bottle!

9. Finally - for a wow factor create your own tropical bar for your cocktails to be served from or a canopy of flowers and hanging foliages or an amazing backdrop to get married under.
