What do you remember about your favourite wedding?
Although they are all lovely and totally individual, my favourite must be from last year 2018. It took place in June on a lovely day at Jack's Barn in Kent. We found it hard to find but we could hear fun and laughter and came across a huge fairground carousel near some stables, there was a horse box gin bar, a fish and chip van, coconut shy and hook a duck, plenty of amusements for the guests.
We set up our popcorn & candy floss stand in the most beautiful barn, the chandeliers on the ceiling were just gorgeous everyone was so friendly.
I loved the bride's dress. We were offered hog roast and cake which was so
so yummy. When our time was up, we were asked to stay and enjoy the rest of night at the wedding party which was a lovely offer had it been local.
Apart from waffles and doughnuts are there any new trends for 2019?
There are changes all the time and I will keep an eye out for any new additions we can add. I need to launch my d.i.y. rustic popcorn bar properly this year.
What would be the most important piece of advice you would give a couple?
Always book a photographer well in advance, when we got married, we ran out of funds and relied on wedding guests to take pictures for us, we are sure everyone did their best but nothing like a professional photographer, that's my biggest regret.
What’s the most popular request?
I'm always being asking for flying saucers on the cart, it has always been someone's dad or grandad's favourite as a child.
Do you have a favourite review?
I love getting proper thank you notes in the post but sadly most are via email or Facebook.
At a wedding I attended in Brighton, I was setting up the candy floss & candy cart under the watchful eye of lots of very excited children, the speeches hadn't finished, the children were getting louder and louder. That’s when I took over, I made then all sit on the floor and gave them all a lolly each so they were quiet, and the speeches could then be heard.
In the review I was thanked for my lovely cart, candy floss & babysitting skills.... lol.
A kind person Natalie!
Do you have a favourite sweet?
Ferrero Rocher & Liquorice Allsorts are my favourite.
What do you love most about the wedding business?
It’s like having an extended family, my wedding supplier friends, the lovely couples, love them all. The feedback I receive once I set up, the lovely new venues and barn weddings.
You make a lot of people happy!
