Wedding and Event Flowers at The Bell In Ticehurst Sussex

Celebrations! Weddings! Events!

We have provided some beautiful and unusual event flowers for this unique venue.

No, it's not the Bell Inn confusingly, it's The Bell in Ticehurst...apparently, check out their story here

At first sight, the pub looks traditional and I must say gorgeous. It's on the main road in Ticehurst, in the heart of this pretty village, and not easy to miss.

"Quirky" is how The Bell is often described - the definition is eccentric, odd, a mixture of traits. The Bell is all of these, in the most positive way. Professionalism and friendliness too mixed in with a plethora of awards.

Firstly there's quite a collection of strange animals and objects to be found. The huge bull's head hiding in one corner is one. (yes we have decorated it before).

Secondly, there's the odd layout...Upon entering the Stable doors, to the right of the reception, you climb steps to what appears to be a long oak table with a red carpet (for weddings only) and railings on either side high above. A wedding coordinator is showing a couple around as we were decorating the venue last week, and explains - "this is where you walk down and your guests can throw confetti over you!"

The railings can be decorated in many ways - lots of lush foliage, gypsophila bunches, chains of fresh hops (The season for fresh green hops is August), bunting, your choice.

Here are a few examples:

And yes, there's an actual bell to ring before you set off down the aisle.

We have hit our heads on it many a time whilst decorating the railings!

As you head towards the stairs at the back of the room, there is a beautifully hand-made work iron arch, perfect for decorating with flowers.

Check out the large peacock as you climb the stairs...a recent addition to the menagerie.

Upstairs, the main Ceremony Room can be transformed into your reception space later if you choose.

The Bell was renovated extensively a couple of years ago and the transformation is stunning here.

When the Bell re-opened after redecorating, we were lucky enough to be approached by Lynne and Andy who were looking for a bespoke wedding decoration, based on their recent travels to New Orleans.

We created 6-foot "Sunflower Silver Birch trees" for their ceremony, to tie in with the beautiful new hand-printed wallpaper...here are a few images from this lovely wedding.
